When filming in the hospital, we could not decide on which ending we should use. We had three choices. Firstly, Laura could come in with flowers, showing that Sam is no longer trapped as his friends are there. The second was Amy coming in, but she brings him flowers and whispers something in his ear. She has realised her mistake and she is sorry. Finally - which is the choice everyone in our media group favours - is that Amy comes in, but she does not have flowers, she only stands, silently, by his bedside while we see the heart monitor flat line as he dies. This is very dramatic, however by showing the most serious consequences that can come from cases of domestic abuse, it raises the awareness that we wanted to show. However, to help decide we are going to ask our audience on our Feedback page on Facebook. Here is a compilation of the roughly edited endings to give the audience a rough idea of what they would look like.
You can view the results from our audience feedback in James's results video below. The majority of our viewers preffered, similarly to us, the third ending, so this is the one we will use. In verbal feedback, one of our viewers said "it was very dark", therefore portraying the sinister side to domestic violence.
